Marble

Stone Medics Marble Floor After Image

Natural stones, including marble, can easily last a lifetime if they are properly maintained. However, marble features a soft surface—which means it has a higher tendency of reacting to acids than other stones, and can dissolve or become damaged from substances like vinegar, tomatoes or citrus fruits.

Fortunately, the marble experts at Stone Medics can help you properly protect and maintain your marble finish for years to come.

Marble Polishing

Do your marble counters or floors have an uneven finish? Perhaps you have a new floor with tiles that are higher in gloss in some areas than others. Marble, especially in higher traffic areas, requires frequent polishing to maintain its glossy finish.

Let Stone Medics even out the finish for you. Our team employs a neutral PH cleaner to maintain your marble surfaces and deliver a beautiful finish.

Marble Sealing

It’s better to seal your marble surface against stains proactively, then work to remove stains after the fact. While stain removal poultice processes exist, it may take several applications—as well as the use of a solvent capable of dissolving the stain—in order to see results. And there is no guarantee that the stains will be removed.

Sealing is an inexpensive and preventative “insurance” for your marble or stone life. Contact Stone Medics to discuss our sealing process and how we can maintain your surface.

Marble Cleaning

Marble is an extremely easy surface to maintain due to its honed finish, but it requires frequent cleaning to maintain its glossy appearance. If you are not diligent in your maintenance efforts, wear will set in and create hollows and low points for dirt to collect, especially in areas of high foot traffic.

Let Stone Medics build a routine cleaning plan for your marble surface and to maintain a healthy glow.

Marble Restoration

Stone Medics uses a neutral PH cleaner to restore and preserve the natural beauty of your stone. We can assist you in determining the root cause of your damage, the appropriate repair and restoration process to correct the problem and develop means of protecting and maintaining your marble surfaces.

Whether you’re looking for leading marble cleaning products or a service from our highly-trained stone craftsmen, Stone Medics will provide you with expertise, commitment and quality results to rejuvenate your marble surface.

Marble Maintenance

Our team of stone experts is happy to schedule routine maintenance to ensure the quality of your marble surface.

Here are tips for cleaning and maintaining your marble:

  • Sweep or dust your marble surfaces regularly. This removes any loose grime and debris that can be ground underfoot and wear down your stone.
  • Never use acidic materials on marble and keep such substances away from your marble surfaces. Acidic materials dissolve marble, resulting in micro-etches, spill marks and a generally dull appearance.

Use neutral PH cleaners designed specifically for marble surfaces. Products that claim to clean and shine should NOT be used, as they require the application of an oil or wax to impart an artificial shine.

Through proper care and routine maintenance, we guarantee your marble surface’s shelf-life. Call Stone Medics at (216) 534-3904 to schedule your annual maintenance visit or ask about our other stone services.
